Michael Petroleum Corporation was engaged in the acquisition and development of natural gas properties in the Lobo Trend of South Texas, one of the largest onshore natural gas producing regions in the U.S. With capital from DLJMB and a partner, Michael emerged from a reorganization in 2000 and quickly grew reserves and production as a result of accelerating its drilling and development program.
