AEC Partners has almost two decades of energy private equity experience.

We were founded in 2017 by the former energy investment team of Avista Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm with approximately $6 billion under management. Our partners include both former operating executives who have founded, operated and monetized numerous energy companies and investment professionals with extensive experience sourcing, structuring and managing energy investments. We have invested in and operated energy companies for substantially all our careers through multiple commodity cycles and have a strong record of attracting new management teams and investment opportunities through our long-standing relationships.

    Over our history, we have maintained an established and consistent investment strategy focused on operational value creation.

    We provide equity capital to energy companies led by experienced management teams that have strong growth prospects, sustainable competitive advantages, high quality assets, superior proven technology or exceptional operating capabilities. We make control or influential minority investments of approximately $25 million to $75 million in middle market energy businesses through various transaction structures including growth financings, build-ups, structured investments and leveraged buyouts.
